Well we have come to the end of our first week at Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition 2012!  It’s been all about LOVE over there this week and today is our weekly challenge that is open to our subscribers.

This week we have a great sketch challenge for our folks.  Although all of our projects are exclusive to the subscribers of Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition 2012, we do show our challenge projects on our websites.  You can see all the designers projects by checking our Create with Connie and Mary website.

When I sat down to work on this challenge for some odd reason I just was really stuck.  I knew I wanted to us either the Take it to Heart or P.S. I Love You sets but that was about as far as I got.  Then slowly, VERY SLOWLY this took shape until I was happy with what I had when I finished.  The base of the card is Blushing Bride.  I stamped the little cupid dude using Blushing Bride ink.  Next I took the striped print from the Twitterpated dsp pack, added a Riding Good Red Ribbon Border under it and added to the card front.  I added a piece of the Pear Pizzazz Pleated Ribbon along the top.  To make the ‘tag’ looking piece I started with a 1 3/4” piece of Whisper White then put the one end into the 1 3/4” circle punch to make the rounded top to this piece.  I stamped the row of hearts using Riding Hood Red and the greeting using Basic Grey.  I stamped the circle of hearts on Pear Pizzazz using Old Olive, punched with the 1 3/8” circle punch and added to the tag using dimensionals.  I stamped the heart using Cherry Cobbler on Riding Hood Red, punched with the Large Heart Punch, added a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Baja Breeze Seam Binding and a Metallic Brad, then added to the tag using dimensionals.  I added the tag to the card front with a double layer of dimensionals.  To finish it off, I added some of the Basic Rhinestones to the tag and the along the striped panel.
