Oh Christmas Tree
Guess what? It’s time for another SUO challenge! Don’t you just LOVE those? We do! This time our challenge was Merry and Happy. That’s easy enough…especially this time of the year!
To me nothing says merry or happy this time of year like a Christmas tree! So I just had to use that on my card today!
A couple details about the card…the base of the card is Wild Wasabi and I ran it through the Snowburst Embossing Folder. Next I added two pieces of the Silver Glimmer paper - can you believe it…I’ve actually used up TWO PACKS of this and only have a couple leftover pieces! Good thing I have another pack on the way! I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler and used the scallop edge punch along the right side and added a piece of Whisper White to it. Next I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Wild Wasabi 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a Red Rhinestone brad and added this to the Cherry Cobbler panel and then to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the on pennant image (that looks like a tree) 3 times on Whisper White and punch out with the Pennant Punch. I stamped the tree base using Early Espresso and cut out. The trees were add to the Whisper White panel with the middle bumped up using dimensionals. I stamped merry on Real Red using Early Espresso, cut to look like a banner then added to the card front using dimensionals and glue dots. I finished off the card with a Rhinestone at the top of each tree.
So check out what the designers have done with the SUO Challenge and then JOIN THE FUN!!! Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
