Merry Christmas Tag
The Friday Free For All challenge is to called Tag for a Friend and the idea is to make a tag that you feel represents your friend. Then the feed came in for the Clean and Simple Challenge and when I saw the design I just KNEW I could combine the two to make a tag for my friend Connie Babbert over at Inkspired Treasures!
One of the things that Connie is really well known for is the folded half circle Christmas tree. If you go to her site, and scroll down some on the right you will see the link for her template. Now the tree she made was a bit larger but I did this with half of a 3” Silver Glimmer Circle I had sitting on my desk. Took some fiddling to get it folded right but I think it works.
Okay…some details. I did a Whisper White tag from the 2 Tags Die in Whisper White and ran it through the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. I layered this on Pool Party and trimmed. I did a partial 2 1/2” circle in the Pool Party Polka Dotted dsp and added to the tag and then added a Silver Glimmer edge along the left hand side. I did the folded tree, added a Pool Party ‘trunk’ and attached to the tag. I did the smallest snowflake from the Northern Frost decorative strip, added a large Rhinestone and added to the tag using dimensionals. I stamped the greeting using Basic Grey, trimmed to look like a banner and added to the tag. To finish it off I added a Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon and tied it with a piece of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.
So that my tag for my friend! Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Hi Mary! This is absolutely beyond spectacular and beautiful! The papers you have chosen to make this tag are just sooooooo pretty! This is truly one of the nicests gift tags I have ever seen.
If you don’t mind me asking….did you actually trim the white tag down a bit to get it to ‘nest’ inside the Pool Party tag (from Two Tags)? If you did then….WOW - you sure know how to handle a pair of scissors cuz it is perfect! If not, what type of tag die did you use?
I have searched the internet high and low and cannot seem to find a nesting version of this type of tag.
I am going to use this tag as my inspiration for my Christmas tags and I am sure that everyone will be in awe.
Rest assured, I always give credit where credit is due and will gladly tell them where I found this tag. Besides, I’m sure my family would know that I couldn’t possibly come up with something this amazing!
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question.
Sincerely yours in crafting
