I made this card for a swap back in November and wanted to hold it until closer to Valentine’s Day to share it with everyone.  I just LOVE the letterpress plates.  I really like the look of the white CRAFT ink on the Crumb Cake paper!  I also did this for the SUO Challenge - Valentines.

The base of the card is Baja Breeze.  I took a piece Crumb Cake and used White CRAFT ink with the Letterpress plate.  I layer a piece of Whisper White along the top and Early Espresso along the bottom.  This is then layered onto the card base and tied a piece of Early Espresso 5/8” Grosgrain ribbon around it.  I stamped LOVE from Fundamental Phrases, punched with the Decorative Label punch and layered on front using dimensionals.  I added the 3 hearts from the three heart punch - Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake and then a couple Basic Rhinestones.

Now I know I’ll be getting asked this so I thought I’d just add it to my post….“What is the sandwich I use to get the Letterpress to work so nice?”...Here’s what I do…

main platform on tab 1
paper shim (depending on your Big Short could be anything from copy paper, to whisper white, to colored cardsotck)
Inked letterpress
cardstock (in this case crumb cake)  NOTE:  occasionally I might put a piece of copy paper over the cardstock (and then note UNDER the letterpress plate) if I think it is going to be REALLY messy because of the CRAFT ink.
crease pad

This does seem to work best for me…you do have to play around on your machine to see what will work best for you.  I just LOVE the look of the letterpress plate - a nice crisp design!

What a quick and easy card…you just have to try it!  Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
