During the December bog hop I made a banner from the Designer Cuts cards.  It was a fun little banner to make and I promised to share some details on how I made it and here we go…

And now on to how to make the banner…

Trim off the solid end of each side then cut between the scallops to make three pieces.  Then end up being 1 3/4” wide.  You need 4 pieces so one card and a piece from a second card.  Cut 4 pieces of Blushing Bride 4 3/8 x 2.

Slide the piece of Blushing Bride between the card layers and secure TO THE BACK INSIDE of each piece - you need the top piece loose.

Line your 4 pieces up in a row and add a piece of sticky strip near to the top on the Blushing Bride.  This is for adding the ribbon. Take a piece of approximately 18” of Riding Hood Red 3/8” Taffeta Ribbon and use to ‘string’ the banner pieces together.

Add a piece of sticky strip over top of ribbon on both the first and last panel.  Fold over end of ribbon on each side to create loop for hanging banner.

Adhere the top of each card flap done to finish banner. 

I used Timeless Type sizzlit alphabet, the new heart Embosslit and Twitterpated Designer Buttons to do the letters for my banner.  They were just the right size.  The colors were Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red.  I added these to the banner using Dimensionals.

I finished it off by adding some Chocolate Chip hearts between each section of the banner, adding pearls to the hearts then adding the new jumbo pearls in the lacy portion of each banner.
