Jolly Bingo Bits
Did you ever sit down to make a card with a VERY SPECIFIC idea in mind and then when you are finished it looks NOTHING like what you wanted to do? Well…that will explain ALOT about this card! I decided to play along with the color challenge on SCS and where I started and where I ended were to VERY different things!
So the colors are Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Marina Mist…the PERFECT colors for a snowman. So I started there and somewhere along the line I stamped the presents from the Jolly Bingo Bits and this card sort of happened. I also started out to do a 6 1/2 x 3 1/4 card (size for our open ended envelopes) and this actually is sized to fit a regular envelope although it doesn’t look like it is.
The base of the card is Blushing Bride 5 1/2 x 3 1/4. Since I had that Marina Mist scallop (from the Tasteful Trim die) I added it behind a piece of Pear Pizzazz dsp and added to the card front. Next I took a 1 3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting in Soft Suede. I rounded the corners on the left side. I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Marina Mist Polka Dotted ribbon and a Blushing Bride glimmer brad and added it to the tag. This is added to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the presents three times Marina Mist/Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz/Soft Suede, and Blushing Bride/Soft Suede, cut out and added to the tag using dimensionals. I added some little rhinestones for just that touch of bling.
I probably could have done more but overall this is a nice clean and simple design that you all know I like! Also…I need to head over to school and get my grading done so that I can wrap up the quarter (and I have a meeting so I want to be done before that!)
So…as always…until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
