Hello Doily
It’s time for another SUO Challenge! And again…any SU lovin’ stamper should be able to join in the fun! The theme this time is “Thinking of You”. What a great theme…who doesn’t need one of these cards on hand!
I absolutely LOVE the Hello Doily stamp…especially when you emboss it! It just looks SOOOOO real! All in all this was a VERY easy card to make. I started with a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 Crumb Cake card base. Next I took a piece of Crumb Cake, sponged the edges in Crumb Cake and added to the card base using dimensionals. I stamped the doily stamp using Versamark on Early Espresso, embossed with white embossing powder, cut out and added to the card front (letting the edges hang over just a little bit. I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler Polka Dotted dsp, added a Soft Suede scallop edge along the bottom and a plain strip along the top and added to the card front. I did a banner from the Petal Cone Die in Natural Cream, stamped the greeting in Cherry cobbler and added a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) made from Soft Suede 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a clear rhinestone brad. The banner was then added to the card front to finish it off!
I think this would make anyone feel they are special! Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Hey Loved this card. You did an awesome job. I saw the stamp and immediately thought of my grandmother. She crocheted these and I have several she made. I love the antique look of your card. Thanks for sharing.
