Since it is Saturday, I thought I’d check out the inspiration challenge on SCS. The website today is Doodletart Glass. WOW…pages and pages of inspiration. I pulled off alot of bead that I found inspiring but this one really was just perfect (that and the fact that I had all these colors sitting on top of my desk from the card I did yesterday…LOL!!! You KNOW how I work!) I decided that the Big Shot would make quick and easy work of a card inspired by this!
The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Crumb Back. I took a piece of Very Vanilla, ran it through the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and layered it onto Basic Black. Next I made my ‘bow’ (click here for the tutorial) using Crumb Cake Seam Binding and a black brad. I added another piece of the Seam Binding, wrapped it around the panel and then added to the card front using dimensionals. The Basic Black heart is from the Hearts and Brackets die. Then I did some swirls using Crumb Cake and the Swirls Scribbles sizzlit. I added these to the heart then trimmed them off. Next I punched the smallest flower from the Boho Blossom punch in Very Vanilla, added a black brad to the center of each and then added to the card front using Glue Dots. I stamped the sentiment from Tiny Tags using Basic Black on Crumb Cake, punched with the Jewelry punch then added to the card front to finish it off.
I think overall this is a clean and simple card yet has a really classy feel!
Now don’t forget…today is the LAST day to sign up for the Early Bird Special on Create with Connie and Mary! We also have a FREE preview project and FREE FULL PROJECT TUTORIAL for you! Oh…and of course…BLOG CANDY!!! So head over to Create with Connie and Mary NOW!

Hi Mary—I love the classic feel of this card—I’m trying to figure out how I can case it without owning the scribbles sizzlit. Ha! Thanks for sharing! Dawn
