I would like to wish all my stamping friends around the world a HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Here’s to a wonderful, stamping filled year!

I have wanted to to a happy 2012 card every since I saw this GREAT card by my friend Connie!  But where hers is very elegant I wanted to go a little more fun (and formal!)  This is also for the colourQ#117 to use black, white and one other color…my color is silver glimmer!  Hmmm…I sure hope silver glimmer is a color!

This really was a simple card to make…the base of the card is Whisper White.  I cut out the letters from the silver glimmer paper using the Alphabet Simple Numbers die.  Okay…I had to cut the 2s out twice because the first time, yep, you guessed it, I cut them out backwards!  LOL!!!  I added the letters to another piece of Whisper White, then stamped the strings for the balloons using Basic Black…I only did 3 of the 5 strings.  I stamped the balloons in Basic Black on another piece of Whisper White, cut out and added to the strings using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting (from Teeny Tiny Wishes) using Basic black.  This is layered onto a piece of Basic Black with a scallop edge along the bottom.  Next I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Basic Black 5/8” Satin Ribbon and a Silver Glimmer brad, added to the panel then added the panel to the card front using dimensionals!
