Oh…I do love this little set!  It is just such a fun one to work with and you can do great colors with it!  Since Thanksgiving is over and I just KNOW there will be ALOT of Christmas going on once 12/1 arrives, I thought for Mary Jo’s sketch challenge I would do something different…Happy Dirtday!

This is just the perfect sketch for this great dump truck…the main panel is the perfect size!  I’ve used this color before with this set and just love the way it looks…okay…that and I I had some of the parts already done and laying on top of my desk and when I cleaned off my desk I found the pieces so decided to use them!  Confession is good for the soul!  I do like just using things on top of my desk!

Some quick notes on this..the base of the card is Island Indigo. I took a piece of Lucky Limeade striped dsp and added it to the card front.  Next I stamped the greeting using Soft Suede on Whisper White, punched with the Decorative Label punch and added behind a Real Red Strip.  I added some brown brads and added to the card front.  I took a piece of Soft Suede, ripped along the top, did direct to paper using Soft Suede ink, then added to a Whisper White panel.  I then rounded the corners.  I did the truck in tires/Basic Black, cab/Real Red, truck bed/Island Indigo, and presents/Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Island Indigo, cut them all out, added silver brads to the tires then added to the panel using dimensionals.

I think the clean look of the card would be perfect for a young boy!  So…I hope you all enjoy you Monday and until the next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

See what others are doing with Mary Jo’s sketch…
