Today on SCS was a great, simple sketch challenge and I couldn’t resist doing a quick card for it!  I’m DONE with school (well, until Monday…when I start my mini terms) so I’m enjoying a couple of days off.  So a few quick notes…

The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  Now I will tell you I pulled out my coluzzle to do the cut-outs of the circles on this…worked GREAT (too bad you can’t get these any more as the company who made them no longer does).  So I did the larger circle in the pretty Spice Cake dsp and then the smaller circle in the Soft Suede layer.  I did do the scallop edge in the Soft Suede before doing the circle.  I inked the greeting using Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede markers and stamped on the card base.  I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Soft Suede 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a large clear Rhinestone Brad.  I added this to the dsp layer then added to the card front using dimensionals.  I finished it off by adding some Basic Pearls along the scallop edge.

Wow…pretty easy!  Just what I needed today!  I’m heading out to take Gypsy to the groomer which means Bandit is going to have a REALLY BAD DAY!  Poor dear!  He just can’t handle his sister being gone.  REALLY BAD DAY!

Need to finish up and head out…so until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
