First…TOMORROW IS TOUR DE FREAKS!!!  Mark your calendars…we are keeping it Clean and Simple (well…I probably should be a disclaimer that simple is more of a relative term…simple for a FREAK!) this time!  So…onto my card.  Saturday on SCS is the inspiration challenge and I found a great piece that inspired me to put together this card.

The inspiration site for today’s challenge is an Etsy store called Singingcatstudio and I could resist this piece.  I love how the flower just popped on there…it really caught my eye.  I don’t have any copper to work with so I decided to go with chocolate chip.  I will tell you that I did ‘fuss’ around with this a bit until I got something I like.  You KNOW I’m not very good with real fussy looking cards so once I scaled some things back a bit, I was MUCH happier!

I did actually start out with Tempting Turquoise but it was just a little too bright so I changed over to Island Indigo.  I didn’t like Whisper White (too bright) or Very Vanilla (too NOT bright) so went with the Shimmery White…perfect!  So some quick notes…the base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Shimmery White.  I too a piece of the Island Indigo, ran the top part through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (I sponged just a little bit on the embossed section with Chocolate Chip), layered onto Chocolate Chip and then the card base using dimensionals.  I did two of the Little Leaves sizzlits in Chocolate Chip and added to the card front.  Next I punched out a Shimmery White Fancy Flower, ran it through the Finial Press Embossing Folder, sponged using Chocolate Chip, added the largest flower from the Boho Blossoms punch in Chocolate Chip and then finished it off with a Vintage Brad.  I curled the petals of the flower and added to the card front.  To finish it off I stamped the greeting using versamark on Island Indigo, embossed with white embossing powder, punched with the large oval punch and added to the card front using dimensionals.
