Aaaah….Saturdays!  I just love Saturdays…my honey and I go to 2nd Street Market in Dayton for breakfast and it’s the Inspiration Challenge on SCS.  What MORE could a gal want (except of course…MORE STAMPS!!!).  Anyway as soon as I saw the square brooches on Georgie Love…I knew I found my inspiration.

Click on the image to the right to take you to the Georgie Love website.  Can you see why this would inspire me?  Lots of bold color and simple, clean design.  It was JUST PERFECT for my inspiration today.

The base of the card is Whisper White 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through my new most favoritist fold…Elegant Lines.  This is attache to the card front.  For the ‘brooch’ I took 5 colors, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point and Sahara Sand.  For all but the Sahara Sand, I cut a strip and layered to a piece of Whisper White and then did another strip in the same color with the new Ribbon Punch, sponged the edges with the same color and layered using a dimensional.  Next I tied a piece of white embroidery floss to the bitty button and added using a glue dot.  For the Sahara Sand, I once again did a ‘base strip’ and then a second one sponged with Sahara Sand and added with Dimensionals.  Friends (from the Just Believe set) is stamped using Basic Black.  I wanted to continue the Sahara Sand look so I took a piece of White Taffeta Ribbon, colored with my Sahara Sand marker, tied in a bow and added to the brooch using a dimensional.  This is all layered onto a piece of Basic Black and then the card front using dimensionals.

So…did I ‘capture’ the look of the brooch?  I’m happy with it!  Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
