Oh…I soooooooo LOVE leaf sets!  Really…I like those EVEN MORE THAN TREE and FLOWER sets!  I think I must have every one that Stampin’ Up! ever put out and I was sooooo excited when I saw the one in the mini…leaves and 2-step stamping - BLISS!!!!

Now I know most people won’t look at this color combo and think LEAVES…but to me it was a PERFECT color combo for a very non-traditional fall card.  Lately I’ve been on this kick to go through stamping magazines and find a non-SU card and remake that card using Stampin’ Up! only products.  Well this is from that Stamp It! Cards magazine that I bought when my sister was here for a visit.  I have to say this is SOOOOOOOO my VERY FAVORITE card!  I MUST use this color combo again…it is just STUNNING!!!

The base of the card is a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 piece of Pool Party folded in half.  Next I took a piece of Whisper White, rounded the corners, stamped the greeting (from the Bring on the Cake set) using Basic Black than added to the card front.  Next I took another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the one solid leaf using Sahara Sand, the other using Pool Party and then stamped the small line leaf using Basic Black…WOW…what a dynamite look!  I added a strip of Basic Black along the top and then used the Scallop Trim punch on another piece and added along the bottom.  I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Basic Black Polka Dotted Scallop Ribbon and a Pool Party Designer Printed Brad, added another piece of ribbon then wrapped about this layer.  This is added to the card front to finish it off.

Isn’t this just a GREAT looking card?  I LOVE it!  It is the perfect size to fit into our Open Ended envelope.  COOL!!!  Well, make sure you head over to Create with Connie and Mary to see what the design team did with these colors…FABULOUS!!!
