well sort of!  Okay first…this is for the AWESOME sketch challenge on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  And as for the ‘sort of’...well you’ll have to read on to find out!

Okay first thing first…you see as part of the Create with Connie and Mary Design Team, we get our challenges ahead of time to work on them.  That is cool because I LOVE to work ahead (okay…a little confession…I’m the one who does the challenges so I REALLY have them ahead…LOL!).  Well I was working on the July challenges in June and really didn’t have that much NEW STUFF to use but I really wanted to use NEW STUFF!!!  Guess what?  There is absolutely positively NO STAMPING and NO DESIGNER PAPER on this project!  WHAT????? You say.  HOW CAN THAT BE?  Well…this is a My Digital Studio hybrid card!  I got the digital downloads for the Fruit and Flowers and the Berry Blossom Designer paper, designed my ‘pieces’ in My Digital Studio, exported as a jpg, put it into a desktop publishing file and then printed out.  Then all I had to do was cut everything apart (and you all KNOW how I LOVE to cut things out!) put it all together and this is what I got (whew…I almost feel like I just did the hokey pokey!) 

So what did I do beyond the MDS?  Well….I rand a piece of Whisper White cardstock through the Lattice Square embossing folder, layered onto Early Espresso then a Lucky Limeade base.  I stamped Enjoy from the “You’re a Gem” set using Early Espresso on Whisper White and layered that to a piece of Lucky Limade oh and I made one of my ‘bows’ (click here for the tutorial) using Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding and a brass brad (from the metallic collection).

So…that’s my cool hybrid card.  I should mention that the flowers are from the digital designer paper that I cut out and added using dimensionals.  Have you tried My Digital Studio yet?  It is just SOOOOO much fun!
