Happy April everyone!  WOW…I just can’t believe it’s April already!  It’s time again for another Create with Connie & Mary Thursday Challenge and we have a FUN and EASY sketch challenge for you this week!

Isn’t this a great sketch?  When I was trying to come up with sketch for this challenge I decided to base it on this card I made a while ago.  It really can be open to a lot of different ideas!

I also have been trying to use some sets that I got when the current catalog came out.  It seems that once a mini comes out, I tend to use those sets and forget about the ones in the catalog.  So that was sort of my starting point for this card.

I SOOO want spring to come…now REALLY I do!  So I wanted to go with ‘sunshine’ look.  Some notes on the card…the base of the card is Daffodil Delight.  I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Elegant Lines embossing folder and layered onto a piece of Pear Pizzazz.  I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Daffodil Delight 5/8” Satin Ribbon and a Pear Pizzazz Glitter Brad, added an extra piece of the ribbon before attaching the bow to the panel and wrapping the end around the back.  This is attached to the card base using dimensionals.  I inked the stamp using Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso markers and stamped on Whisper White.  I inked the greeting (from Afterthoughts - Level 1 hostess) using Early Espresso marker and added it to the panel.  I added a Pear Pizzazz Scallop edge on one side and a plain strip on the other side.  This is added to the card front using dimensionals.
