French Foliage
I bought this set last year sort of towards the end of that Holiday Mini because I had seen soooo many fabulous things made with it. I was sooo happy when it made the catalog and thought I’d pull it out for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge…a GREAT color challenge this week!

I love color challenges that have black in there! There is something about the black that just makes the other colors ‘pop’ and I think that is really the case with the Cherry Cobbler and the More Mustard. When doing this card I wanted to make the stamping the main focus of the card so went with a pretty simple layout.
The base of the card is More Mustard. Next I took a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the large leaf using Cherry Cobbler, the medium leaf using More Mustard and then added the ‘splatters’ in Basic Black. I added a strip of the striped Cherry Cobbler dsp then added a Basic Black Scallop Edge from the Tasteful Trim Die. It needed something ‘a little more’ so I added a thin strip of More Mustard to the black. I stamped the greeting using Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and More Mustard markers on Very Vanilla and punched with the Wide Oval punch. I made a ‘bow’ using Basic Black Polka Dotted Scallop Ribbon and a Orange (although it looks mustard with this) Rhinestone Brad, added to the oval and then added the oval to the panel using dimensionals. The panel is added to the card front using dimensionals. I thought putting the panel on a diagnonal gave it a little different look.
Hope you all have a chance to play with us this week…we LOVE to see what you do! Head over to Create with Connie and Mary to see what the design team came up with using these colors!
Until next time..HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Gorgeous card! I have always loved this leaf set, too, but have yet to own it. Love the collage effect and your little bow really sets everything off!

Great job with the homemade background paper. These colors were perfect for the leaf images. One of my favorite sets!
