Today on the inspiration challenge on SCS I found this really cool Limestone Plaque from the Ten Thousand Villages site.  Although the original piece was white I thought an Ivory and gold elegant Christmas card.

You all know I LOVE that white on white look.  It always gives you such a classy look whether it is clean and simple or dressed up a bit.  So, like I said, I wanted to do an ivory/gold card this time instead of a white/silver (which I’ve done ALOT of this year!) but wanted to incorporate that great floral image in there.  I figured I could replicate that with my Blossom Builder Punch….I was right!

So I wanted to keep it still the square so the base of the card is Very Vanilla 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I took another piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder, layered onto Brushed Gold and then to the card front.  I used the Gold Lame Pearlized Accents to add some gold accents to the center of the flowers and the dots.  I wrapped around a piece of Very Vanilla 5/8” Satin Ribbon then a piece of the Very Vanilla Velvet ribbon.  To build the flower I started with a 1 3/8” Very Vanilla circle (for my base).  I then punched out 4 of the largest petal and added to the circle.  I took a Very Vanilla 1 1/4” Circle, ran it through the Snowburst folder, then some gold lame accents and layered onto a 1 3/8” Brushed Gold circle.  I stamped Merry Christmas from the Bright Hopes set using Versamark on Brushed Gold, embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, cut to make it a ‘banner’ look, added behind the Brushed Gold circle then added to the center of the flower.  The flower is then added to the card front.  To finish it off I used some of the NEW big pearls (SNEAK PEEK!) and the largest pearl from the Basic Pearls.

Okay…I do LOVE the way this turned out…I think it just looks sooooo elegant!  Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
