Happy Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge day!  Isn’t that just one of the BEST!  This was one of the sets we got at convention for FREE (my very favorite price!) and I thought this little duckie was perfect for the color challenge today.

Okay..first a funny story about the color challenge.  I make up the color challenges for Create.  You would think I would remember WHAT the color challenges are…right?  So I go and make up my card and had it uploaded to the Create site and another designer had mentioned how Pacific Point was tough to work with and I thought well…we’re not using Pacific Point this week…it’s Tempting Turquoise.  WRONG!!!  It’s Pacific Point so I had to pull mine apart and change.  Can you believe it!

Some notes about this card.  The base of the card is So Saffron.  I added a piece of striped Pacific Point (which of course started out as Tempting Turquoise…hehehehe) along the bottom.  Next I wrapped a piece of Whisper White 5/8” Satin around the card.  I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Whisper White 5/8” Satin Ribbon and a So Saffron Flower brad and added it to a piece of Tangerine Tango dotted dsp and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the duckie onto a Watercolor paper circle using StazOn Jet Black and colored with my So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and yep, you guessed it Pacific Point markers (I think you can still see a little Tempting Turquoise under there too)!  This is layered onto a Pacific Point 2 3/8” Scallop circle and added to the card front using dimensionals.
