Can you believe this is the last Wednesday in January already?  You know what Wednesday means…it is time for the Diva Coffee Break Design and this week is a bright and happy color combo!

Can you say happy?  That was my thought when I saw the color combo.  And then since I was thinking happy…I started thinking happy birthday.  And then since I started thinking happy birthday and all my stuff from the Bring of the Cake Suite was sitting on top of my desk because we are featuring it this week on the Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition…I decided to make a bright and happy birthday card!

This is really a very easy card.  The base of the card is Whisper White 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 folded.  This makes a 6 1/2 x 3 1/4 card that fits into the open ended envelopes.  Next I took Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Peach Parfait cardstock 2 x 3 1/8, rounded the bottom corners and layered onto the card front.  Next I added Whisper White 1 3/4” circles on each panel.  The ‘icing’ of the cupcakes is Early Espresso and the cupcake base is in the three colors.  The bow is Early Espresso.  Everything is punch out and layered onto the circles using dimensionals.  I punched out the little circles with the cupcake punch in each of the colors and added them to the cupcakes using Tombow multi-purpose glue.  The ‘happy birthday’ is stamped using Early Espresso.  To finish this quick and easy card off I add a Whisper White 3/8” Taffeta Ribbon!

I thought this was a fun card to make!  Now…if you like the Create a Cupcake set and Build a Cupcake punch and want a REALLY cool idea…stop by here on Saturday when the Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Mini design team shares their first challenge!  You are REALLY going to like my idea!

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
