Classic Stars
You know sometimes you just gotta go ‘back to the basics’ and that’s what I did for this week’s Diva Coffee Break Design color challenge. I haven’t used a wheel in AGES!!!

Aren’t these pretty fall colors? That was my first thought when I saw them. I actually was going to use the Autumn Splendor set. When I saw the designs from the rest of the design team I had to laugh because one of the ladies DID use the Autumn Splendor. For some reason though I decided to go with the Classic Jumbo Wheel…I haven’t used wheels in AGES!!!!
The base of the card is Crumb Cake. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and wheeled the stars using Crumb Cake ink. Next I punch out large stars from Cajun Craze. Next I did little stars (retired punch) from Marina Mist and added these using dimensionals. I trimmed off the parts of the stars that went ‘over the edge’. Next I took a piece of Cajun Craze, torn along the edge added it along the bottom of the wheeled piece. I added to to a piece of Crumb Cake. I stamped the Happy Birthday from Grunge Rock using Cajun Craze. Next I tied a piece of Marina Mist 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon around the piece and added this layer to the card front using dimensionals. It looked like it needed just a little more so I added a couple of Basic Rhinestones here and there for a little extra ‘bling’! LOL!!!
I like the simplicity of this card. Every now and then you just gotta go back to the basics!
Hope you all have a GREAT Wednesday…make sure you stop by tomorrow for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge...we have a cool color challenge for you! Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
