Christmas Lodge
WOW…we are quickly coming to the end of Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition 2011! And since it is Saturday, it is time for our Saturday Challenge for our subscribers. Oh…and this is the LAST ONE for this edition! AMAZING!
This week is a sketch challenge! We just LOVE sketch challenges and this was a fun one…just a little different from others we have done! The base of the card is Confetti White cardstock. I took a piece of Crumb Cake and stamped the tree using Soft Suede and layered it onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I took a piece of the Cherry Cobbler plaid dsp and added to the panel. Next I stamped merry Christmas from perfect Pairs using Soft Suede on Confetti White and added the pine boughs in Crumb Cake along the top and bottom, layered this on Soft Suede then to the card front. I made a double ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and a Vintage Designer Brad, added another piece of the Seam Binding and added it to this panel, wrapping the ends around the panel. This panel is added to the card front using dimensionals. I love the ‘country’ feel of this card!
So…time to head of to Create with Connie and Mary to see what the design team has done. Remember…you can still subscribe to Holiday Edition 2011 and you will have access to all 5 previous weeks and the last week to come!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
