Candy Conversations
Oh…I’m excited…it’s one of those GREAT DAYS on Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition 2012! Why do I say it’s a GREAT DAY? Well…it’s a BLOG CANDY DAY but you have to head over to Create to Connie and Mary to see who is giving it out!
I did this card for the color challenge (Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze) and the CAS challenge (use a die cut) over on SCS. I think it turned out to be a sweet little card but, because I used Shimmery White paper, it’s one of those that is MUCH pretty in real life! A couple notes…you know…have to head over to work…
Base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Shimmery White. I took another piece of Shimmery White and added using dimensionals. I stamped the XOXO heart from Candy Conversations in Blushing Bride and the Love You heart in Baja Breeze, cut out and added using dimensionals. I used the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit for the two Riding Hood Red hearts and the one little Blushing Bride heart. The polka dotted heart is added using a dimensional, added the little Blushing Bride heart and a basic rhinestone. I added the striped embossed heart to the front, then tied a piece of Very Vanilla 1/8” Taffeta ribbon to the largest Trinket Heart and added it over the striped embossed heart using glue dots. I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Baja Breeze Seam Binding and a Clear Rhinestone brad and added to the panel. I finished this off with some more basic rhinestones then added the panel to the card front using dimensionals.
Did you know that the Early Bird Special - where you can get 6 AMAZING weeks for ideas for the Occasions Mini and SAB Brochure for only $29.95 ($5 off the regular 6 week subscription price of $34.95) ends on Saturday? Well…it’s TRUE!!! So you NEED to head over to Create with Connie and Mary and subscribe before your forget! And while you are there, check out which of the designers where are featuring today because she will be offering BLOG CANDY!!!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
