What fun…Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition 2012 has begun!  I just love when a new edition gets underway…soooo many incredible ideas!  But since this is Thursday, it’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge and we have a cool color challenge today!  And don’t forget…the January Tour de Freaks Blog Hop is TOMORROW!!!  WOOO HOOO!!!!

When I saw the colors in the challenge today I immediately thought of the Candy Conversations ala carte image.  The colors remind me of those boxes of candy hearts that appear every Valentine’s Day.  I just couldn’t wait to put these colors to the candy hearts!

Really this was pretty easy card to make.  The base of the card is Whisper White 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I took a piece of Lucky Limeade and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the hearts in Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait and Lucky Limeade, punched with the small heart punch and added to a piece of Whisper White.  I ran it through the Square Lattice Embossing folder.  I think if I did if over, I wouldn’t have added this step…made it difficult to read the little hearts!  This is added to a layer of Peach Parfait.  I stamped the Be Mine…from the same stamp using Soft Suede.  I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon and the Everyday Enchantment brads (SAB), added an extra piece of the ribbon, added to the panel and then added to the panel to the card front using dimensionals.
