So last month as I was tooling around ‘the net’ I saw a card with these colors.  Okay…they were not EXACTLY these colors (it wasn’t an SU card) but more sort of these colors.  I kept the card because I just knew those colors would be perfect for something!  Well, today is that something!  These colors work beautifully with the stuff from the ‘top of my desk’ and the SCS sketch challenge!  I just LOVE when a plan come together!

The base of the card is So Saffron.  I took a piece of Crumb Cake, ran it through the Finial Press and added to the card front.  Next I took a Pool Party print from the Attic Boutique dsp pack and added to the card front.  Next I stamped the flower image on a piece of watercolor paper and then the flower two more times on some scraps of water color paper.  I colored the flowers in with So Saffron and a touch of More Mustard (used Blender Pen) with some Pool Party in the center.  For the main image I also use Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz.  I cut out the flowers and layered them onto the main panel using dimensionals.  I layered this onto Crumb Cake then the card front.  I made the scallop border with the scallop edge from the Tasteful Trim die, made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Pool Party Seam Binding and an Orange (yep…that color matched best) Rhinestone Brad, added an extra piece of the seam binging, wrapped around the scallop edge and then added to the card front.  I stamped the greeting using Soft Suede on So Saffron, cut into a banner and added to the card front using dimensionals and glue dots.  I finished everything off with some Pearl Accents.

Overall this is much more of a ‘fussy’ card than I usually do but I just LOVE the soft colors of this and all the pretty accents!  Now don’t forget…head over to Create with Connie and Mary and check out our second Guest Designer and subscribe to our Occasions Edition 2012!

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
