Oh my..this is something COMPLETELY different for me!  I was trying to figure out something different to do for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge and I thought the sketch would be great to use my Beau Chateau Side Notes with it.

You can see how the Side Notes would work really nicely with this sketch.  I wanted to make a very soft looking card so I went with the Pink Pirouette/Crumb Cake prints from the Beau Chateu dsp pack.  Between the paper and the side notes, this just came together sooooooo quickly!

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Pink Pirouette and I sponged the edges using Crumb Cake.  I took three strips of the Beau Chateau dsp, sponged the edges using Crumb Cake and then added to the card front.  I took a piece of the Soft Suede 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added to the front (note…I did wrap the left end around the back of the card front then added a panel on the back inside card to hide the end).  I took the ‘friend’ side note and decided to upgrade it a bit but coloring in ‘friend’ and the frame using my Pink Pirouette marker.  Then I punch out the largest flower from a piece of the Beau Chateau dsp using the Boho Blossom punch.  I made a ‘bow’ using Pink Pirouette 3/8” Taffeta Ribbon and a antique gold brad, added to the flower and then to the side not to cover up the bee (just didn’t like the bee on there!).  This was added to the card front using dimensionals.  I did hang the panel off the edge…would still fit great in a regular medium envelope!

So…check out what the rest of the design team did with the sketch by heading over to Create with Connie and Mary!  That team is TALENTED!!!

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
