Always Thankful
I think I’ve mentioned before I am NOT good at watercoloring but I’m trying to do a little more of it. The thing about this set is that I think it makes just about anybody look like they can watercolor…MY KIND OF SET!!! It really is a nice set with some GREAT images! And since it is Monday, it’s time for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!

Can you see why this was just the perfect set to use with this sketch challenge? I really thought of this set and the Spice Cake dsp as soon as I saw the sketch. I thought the image with the wheat in it would work nicely with the main panel. I’ve seen soooo many nice projects done with this set…I just HAD to join in the fun!
The base of the card is Soft Suede Textured cardstock. I do like the textured cardstock but usually don’t use it. I had a piece leftover from the Christmas Lane SS kit so it worked out nicely. I added a piece of the striped More Mustard striped print from the Spice Cake dsp. Next I took a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the image using StazOn Jet Place and colored with the More Mustard, Soft Sued and Pear Pizzazz markers and the used my blender pen to blend and soften the colors. I tied a piece of Pear Pizzazz ribbon around it and then added to the card front. I took one of the large Pear Pizzazz Spice Cake Buttons, stamped the greeting using More Mustard and Soft Suede markers on Very Vanilla, punched with the 1 1/4” circle punch, added to the center of the button and then added to the card front.
What a simple card…I like simple! Oh…and speaking of simple, the Tour de Freaks blog hop is coming on the 19th and we are featuring…clean and simple! WOOO HOO!!!
Check out what others are doing with Mary Jo’s sketch!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
