During Week 1 of Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions, the very talented design team of Connie Babbert, me, Elizabeth Price, Debbie Henderson, and Deb Currier shared incredible card sets using holiday sets in the mini and catalog. I choose Christmas Blessings for my Week 1 set. Now, it’s Saturday and each team member made a little favor using their featured set and we are sharing these (not the card sets…you have to be a subscriber for those) with everyone.
Mine is soooo simple! Take a piece of cardstock vellum and cut out a Petite pocket. Run the front through the Lacey Brocade Embossing folder and put together (the embossing does a nice job of hiding the tape). I then cut the top flap from a piece of Pink Pirouette Polka Dotted dsp. I stamped the Poinsettia using versamark on Watercolor paper, embossed in gold, colored with the Pink Pirouette and Primrose Petals markers (and a bender pen), cut with a Window Framelit, punched holes in the side, and tied it around the pocket using Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon and tied with Whisper White Baker’s Twine. To finish it off I stamped the greeting from Mixed Medley and gold embossed, punched with 3/4″ Circle Punch, layered onto a Pink Pirouette Large Boho Blossom then a 1” Primrose Petals Circle. This is the perfect size to hold a couple little candy canes!
